Essential Functions and Duties- The successful candidate will have direct experience with design-grade and GIS-grade mobile LiDAR for both TxDOT and municipal mapping projects.
- The position will require data processing, 2D planimetric/3D DTM extraction, TIN creation, check shot reporting, fusion of other geospatial data with LIDAR data, and QA/QC management
- The candidate will participate in the overall surveying and mapping process and will work with multiple G&AI offices.
- 2+ years of LiDAR experience.
- Survey or mapping background.
- Proficiency with Inertial Explorer, Terrasolid, Micro Station, TopoDOT, and ArcGIS.
- Mission planning and control layouts.
- Knowledge of terrestrial scanning and airborne (including UAS) LiDAR.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or a similar discipline.
- ASPRS – Certified Mapping Technician in LiDAR.
- Asset Management.
- Aerial Mapping
- Knowledge of the Leica Pegasus:
