- Perform work necessary to ensure engine production requirements and ensure quality standards are met for the overhaul and repair of F-135 engines or modules and associated technologies.
- Position is for 2nd shift. Individual must be flexible to work alternate shifts when required, overtime, or weekends and be able to travel to customer/partner locations.
- 40‑50% Travel; strong communication skills and self‑motivation required.
- Work on engines installed in the F‑35 Aircraft as well as uninstalled engines in a shop environment.
- Complete work priorities and assigned day‑to‑day tasks necessary to build, repair and inspect Pratt & Whitney F135 gas turbine engines.
- Understand maintenance information from team leaders through coordination with Technical Leads, Immediate Supervisor and Site Manager.
- Interface and engage with various other functions (Quality, Local FSE’s, BEM’s, Customers; DCMA, JPO, LM etc.) to resolve issues and ensure timely product delivery.
- Work with Field Service Engineering to improve methods and processes to build engines and repair hardware.
- Good interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and others in an assorted work environment.
- Detail oriented and able to self‑govern.
- Accuracy in work performed is a requirement and understanding of gas turbine engines is a must.
- Work with maintenance platforms, ascend/descend maintenance stands, lift 25 pounds to a height of 4 feet, and position self to perform maintenance/inspections underneath engine rails and inside the exhaust duct.
- HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid U.S. Passport for international travel.
- Must be proficient with computers and software programs (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance or current Secret Clearance.
- 4+ years in Aerospace Maintenance field.
- 1+ years of experience in the tear‑down, build‑up and inspection of jet engines.
- Military Aerospace Maintenance experience (F135/F119/F100).
- Borescope/Boroblend experience, familiarity with Engine shop maintenance operations, knowledge of non‑powered Aerospace Ground Equipment and confirmed ability to use and interpret electronic technical manuals.
- Depot‑Level (D‑Level) or Intermediate level (I‑level) maintenance experience is a plus.
- Airframe and Power plant license or equivalent experience is a plus.
