What You Will Be Doing:

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Serve as a primary technical operations interface to Program Management, senior leadership, and customers, ensuring alignment across programmatic, technical, and business objectives.

- Define and drive engineering execution strategy, ensuring requirements baselines are established, maintained, and verified, and that technical performance is measured and managed through EVM, TPMs, and integrated program metrics.

- Lead the identification, resolution, and closure of highly complex and systemic technical issues, often spanning multiple programs or organizations, while ensuring alignment with Modern Engineering practices and enterprise standards.

- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, influencing technical direction, staffing strategies, and execution approaches across first-line and functional leadership.

- Serve as a senior technical authority, providing consultation to leadership in long-range planning, capability development, and customer engagements, and may assume responsibilities aligned with Chief Engineer or Chief Architect roles where required.

- Own engineering performance across multi-program portfolios or highly complex program segments, ensuring alignment to technical, cost, schedule, and business objectives.

- Serve as the primary technical advisor to Program Management and senior leadership, influencing decisions impacting program execution, technical baselines, and customer commitments.

- Lead resolution of unusually complex and sensitive technical and programmatic issues, determining and executing courses of action critical to program success.

- Drive enterprise-level integration, ensuring coordination across engineering disciplines, suppliers, production, and support organizations.

- Establish and maintain technical baselines, including requirements traceability, verification, and performance tracking through TPMs and EVM metrics.

- Anticipate and mitigate cross-program risks, including technical, cost, schedule, and staffing risks, with a forward-looking, long-range perspective.

- Develop and influence engineering staffing strategies, working with functional leadership to secure and align resources to program needs.

- Shape and support proposal development and business capture efforts, including technical strategy, staffing, and execution planning.

- Ensure adherence to organizational processes and Modern Engineering practices, while driving improvements based on lessons learned and best practices.

- Act as a liaison to external customers and stakeholders, representing engineering on significant technical and programmatic matters.

- Mentor senior project engineers and emerging leaders, strengthening organizational capability and technical leadership.
