Senior Project Manager, Water Resources, Fort Worth, TX

Halff is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Water Resources to drive the delivery of impactful water resources projects across North Texas, including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, drainage and watershed planning, FEMA floodplain studies, and early‑stage stormwater infrastructure design for both public and private clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage water resources projects from planning through delivery
  • Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage design, and watershed management efforts
  • Serve as a trusted partner to clients across municipalities, agencies, and private development
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals and RFQs
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Mentor and develop engineers, EITs, and technical staff
  • Contribute to the design of dams, levees, storm systems, detention facilities, culverts, and stream stabilization projects
  • Prepare construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET‑accredited)
  • PE license in Texas (required)
  • 5‑10 years of experience in water resources/public works projects, including:
    • Stormwater and drainage design
    • Watershed modeling and master drainage planning
    • Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis (HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS)
  • Strong project management and leadership experience
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Experience with 404 permitting and work in environmentally sensitive areas
  • Proficiency in Micro Station and GIS
  • Familiarity with XP‑SWMM and/or Info Works ICM (preferred)
  • Established client relationships in North Texas (a plus)
  • CFM certification (preferred)
