Overview

Clune Construction is a leading general contractor recognized for excellence, safety, and employee ownership. We are hiring an Assistant MEP Coordinator to manage the planning, installation, startup, and commissioning of MEP equipment in mission‑critical and health‑care environments.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the MEP model and 3D model coordination for assigned projects.
  • Guide processing of MEP submittals and provide expertise with MEP related RFIs.
  • Track MEP construction progress and organize startup and commissioning documentation.
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors to close punch list items and prioritize vendor startup and commissioning.
  • Serve as a role model for interns, project engineers and new AMEPs.
  • Identify and prioritize MEP information for the Project Management team during preconstruction.
  • Take ownership of MEP‑related MOPs, cutover activities, and commissioning documentation.
  • Initiate and organize MEP client training sessions.
  • Be an ambassador for Clune’s safety culture, enforce OSHA standards, and attend safety meetings.
  • Become proficient in Clune’s established systems and technology to work efficiently and to the highest standards.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, or mission‑critical projects.
  • Background in MEP trades and technical knowledge of construction methods is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills; navigation of 3D modeling software is a plus.
