About the Role
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Early Career Hardware Engineer. In this role you will help lead hardware build projects for our Systems and Simulation Test Lab environments.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the efforts fabricating, integrating, and testing the electronic test rack and various subsystems required to support customer requirements.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical design engineers to review drawings, wire routing lists, and project scope.
- Develop detailed build plans, generate engineering estimates, and create project schedules.
- Lead the technician team through daily tasking, build execution, and integration of rack hardware.
- Track cost and schedule performance, attend status meetings, and report metrics to internal and external customers.
- Adapt to dynamic R&D requirements, supporting capital R&D projects and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Understanding of fabrication and assembly processes for electrical and mechanical hardware systems.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, schedules, and technical activities in a team environment.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑based environment.
- Experience building mechanical and/or electrical hardware.
- Experience interpreting and developing mechanical and electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and parts lists.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and industrial engineering principles such as Lean Six Sigma or manufacturing process optimization.
This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. Clearance level:
Secret.

This role is onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules; schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week to condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office and are in addition to Paid Time Off benefits. Schedule for this position: 4 × 10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
