What You Will Do

GFT Infrastructure is seeking a Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) to join our Hydraulics Team in Fort Worth, Beaumont, or Houston, TX. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Fort Worth, Beaumont, or Houston, TX office.

You’ll Be Challenged To Do

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The Hydraulic Project Engineer will perform engineering calculations, technical studies and prepare plans and specifications for a wide variety of projects, including impact analysis, roadway drainage and master drainage plans. The engineer provides general oversight, control, and management of H&H analysis and design tasks for a project.

Responsibilities also include client and project management duties, preparing technical reports and correspondence.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Lead the development of drainage impact studies, master plans and engineering reports (including CLOMRS & LOMRS)
  • Lead the development of project design concepts, criteria, construction plans and reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance
  • Work with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work
  • Analyze complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
  • Consult with construction personnel concerning design constructability
  • Provide input for proposals and pursuit of new projects
  • Supervise junior level staff
  • Makes recommendations on project staffing
  • Communicate independently with clients
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • 4 to 10 Years of relevant experience involving H&H Projects
  • Experience with project proposals and presentations
What We Prefer You Bring
  • Expertise with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP SWMM (1D/2D), AutoCAD/Micro Station (preferred)
Compensation

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
