Description: You will be the Airworthiness Engineer for the Airworthiness Engineering Team which is responsible for delivering airworthiness certification and support for F-16 programs.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Airworthiness Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the U.S. Government in obtaining airworthiness certification for new-production and development programs, as well as providing recommendations for retrofit programs across the entire F-16 portfolio.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with subject-matter experts (structures, systems safety, EEE, weapons, logistics, etc.) to ensure compliance with MIL-HDBK-516C.
- Develop and deliver airworthiness-compliance reports and presentations for certification milestones.
- Manage schedule and cost elements of certification activities, tracking milestones and budgets.
- Support proposal development with technical data, certification analyses, and cost estimates.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance to government and internal stakeholders on F-16 certification requirements.

Who You AreYou are a skilled Level2 Airworthiness Engineer with a proven track record in certification processes for complex aerospace systems. You excel at cross-functional collaboration, are detail-oriented, and can translate technical requirements into actionable plans. Your ability to manage schedules, costs, and stakeholder expectations makes you a catalyst for successful program outcomes.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Airworthiness certification experience.
- Experience with MIL-HDBK-516 criteria.
- Experience multi-tasking in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Experience working with cross functional teams and frequent status reporting to management.
- Strong organization and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
