Mechanical Design Engineer – Full Time

Location:

Fort Worth, IN (Onsite)

Salary: $75K–$85K (Range may vary from $60,000 to $135,000 based on experience and location). The role is eligible for standard Wipro benefits including medical and dental coverage, disability insurance, paid time off, and other leave options.

• Involved in NPD of aircraft seating components, designing 3‑D models for aerospace interior machined parts, sheet metal brackets, and injection‑molded parts for business and economy class seats.
• Establish project roadmap, analyze work samples, and develop standards for customer utilization.
• Create detailed mechanical drawings using GD&T applications according to engineering standards; read existing engineering drawings to ensure correct specifications of materials and manufacturability.
• Apply knowledge of TSO drawings and propose material changes with correct specifications to optimize component functionality, aesthetic purpose, and weight.
• Support onsite coordinators with accurate information to manage offshore operations and communicate with engineers overseeing installation completion.
• Lead customer technical interaction & conduct quality reviews; ensure all designs and drawings meet applicable guidelines and internal design standards.
• Assist manufacturing/assembly during prototype, pilot, and production stages; provide troubleshooting support for mechanical design problems in seatings.
• Develop concepts/proposals for mechanical structures.
• Define and coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with system manufacturers, relevant departments and approval bodies.
• Prepare parts lists (BOM) and production drawings; maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, updates, changes, and key decisions.
• Handle technical training for junior team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
• Hands‑on experience in PLM tool;
  Teamcenter experience with ECN/ECR is an advantage.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 workbenches (Part design, Generative shape design, Assembly, Drafting, Generative sheet metal), CATIA V5 SKE system, and mechanical sheet metal bracket feasibility.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.

5–8 years of relevant work experience.
