Mechanical Designer

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support product development from concept through production. This role bridges engineering and manufacturing, developing production‑ready designs, managing engineering documentation, and ensuring products are successfully released into manufacturing.

• Develop 3D models, assemblies, and component designs using Solid Works.
• Create and maintain production drawings, bills of material, and engineering documentation.
• Support product improvements focused on manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost.
• Manage engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change orders (ECOs) through implementation.
• Develop assembly instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering to resolve production issues and improve product designs.
• Maintain design documentation and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience within manufacturing or product development.
• Advanced proficiency with Solid Works.
• Experience creating production drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Experience supporting engineering change management (ECR/ECO) processes.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
• GD&T experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Acumatica is a plus.
• Experience designing electromechanical products is preferred.
