OpportunityOur client is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support product development from concept through production. This role bridges engineering and manufacturing, developing production‑ready designs, managing engineering documentation, and ensuring products are successfully released into manufacturing.
Responsibilities- Develop 3D models, assemblies, and component designs using Solid Works.
- Create and maintain production drawings, bills of material, and engineering documentation.
- Support product improvements focused on manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost.
- Manage engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change orders (ECOs) through implementation.
- Develop assembly instructions and manufacturing documentation.
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering to resolve production issues and improve product designs.
- Maintain design documentation and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience within manufacturing or product development.
- Advanced proficiency with Solid Works.
- Experience creating production drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Experience supporting engineering change management (ECR/ECO) processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
- GD&T experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Acumatica is a plus.
- Experience designing electromechanical products is preferred.
