F-35 Aircraft Mate/Forward Fuselage Manufacturing Engineering Sr – The F-35 is designed with the entire battlespace in mind, bringing new flexibility and capability to the United States and its allies. Missions traditionally performed by specialized aircraft can now be executed by a squadron of F-35s. This role directly supports the production team.
Shift InformationSecond shift position.
Schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Work is performed onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility that requires special access. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Perform floor support to resolve immediate production constraints.
- Develop corrective actions to improve the production system, reducing Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) cost and hours per unit (HPU).
- Update the manufacturing plan.
- Perform manufacturing evaluations of engineering changes.
- Perform QAR corrective action.
- Create cost reduction initiatives.
- Handle other Manufacturing Engineering standard work (Tool Trial Runs, Work Around Plans, etc.).
- Applied CATIA V5 experience or similar 3D software.
- Experience reading engineering blueprints or tool designs.
- Experience in engineering or manufacturing.
- Experience in aeronautics or missiles and fire control.
Skills:
- Experience with root cause analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- BS/MS in Manufacturing Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Experience in giving persuasive presentations.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of F-35 production line practices and requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and verbally.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems installation procedures and requirements (hydraulics / harness).
This position requires a government security clearance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Clearance level:
Secret.
