Early Career Systems Integration and Test Engineer
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Early Career Systems Integration and Test Engineer to design and execute test methods for internal aircraft systems and components supporting programs such as F‑35.
In this role you will conduct hands‑on test setup, including fixture design, instrumentation, sensor selection, and measurement, and perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation across complex air and liquid flow, environmental, and aerodynamic test disciplines. You will also be responsible for risk management and cross‑functional team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute test methods for aircraft systems and components.
- Conduct hands‑on test setup: fixture design, instrumentation, sensor selection, and measurement.
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation across air, liquid flow, environmental, and aerodynamic disciplines.
- Manage risk and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Climb, squat, and crawl on test fixturing as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
- Experience with test instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Experience in aircraft system/component testing in environments such as altitude chambers, wind tunnels, or conditioned airflow systems.
- Ability to interpret schematics or blueprints of complex parts and systems.
- Experience with fluid test systems and sensor applications/selection.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
- Familiarity with machining and welding trade terminology.
- Ability to work with and direct represented employees.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Security clearance level:
Secret. - Location:
Onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility that requires special access. - Work schedule:
4‑day/10‑hour day, 3 days off per week. - Experience level: 4 years and up.
