Job Overview
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Early Career Cyber System Security Engineer to contribute to cyber‑resilient security design solutions for aircraft platform development. The role involves defining and evaluating cyber security requirements, participating in design reviews, and collaborating with subject matter experts throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Ensure cyber security requirements are properly defined, decomposed, allocated, implemented, and assessed to produce a cyber‑resilient security design solution for the target platform.
- Participate in working groups, design reviews, and formal artifact reviews alongside other subject matter experts.
- Provide security expertise early in the product development cycle and support the integration of cyber security into engineering processes.
- Work onsite full‑time at a Lockheed Martin facility that requires special access.
- B.S. Degree in Cybersecurity, Cyber Security Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Basic knowledge of cyber risk analysis and security assessment methods
- Experience in software development and programming
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to work in a dynamic work environment
- Final Secret Clearance to start with the ability to obtain program’s clearance
- Proficient with embedded software development (C, C++, C#, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Risk Management Framework
- Familiar with secure coding principles
- Familiar with vulnerability assessments
- Proactive self‑starter with the ability to learn rapidly and work independently
- Familiar with full software development life cycle, and system engineering process
- DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT Level II or higher certification (Security+ certification or higher)
- Ability to travel as required
This position requires a government security clearance; applicant must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance level:
Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
