Description
You will be the Airworthiness Engineer for the F‑35 Airworthiness team which is responsible for ensuring the aircraft meets all regulatory and military airworthiness standards throughout design, test, and production.
ResponsibilitiesAs the Airworthiness Engineer you will be responsible for translating regulatory and military airworthiness requirements into actionable engineering plans, partnering with cross‑functional teams, and driving compliance artifacts that enable safe operation and timely product release.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain certification and continued‑airworthiness documentation aligned with regulatory mandates.
- Coordinate with systems, structures, flight test, and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements into product development.
- Generate and review compliance artifacts, ensuring they support safe operation of the F‑35.
- Support design, test, and production activities to meet certification schedules.
- Identify and resolve airworthiness issues early to maintain program timelines.

Required Qualifications- U.S. citizenship, eligibility to obtain Secret clearance.
- Basic qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Airworthiness certification experience.
- Experience with MIL‑HDBK‑516 criteria.
- Experience multitasking in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams and frequent status reporting to management.
- Strong organization and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Location:
Fort Worth, TX.
Work schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Position is onsite full‑time.
Security clearance level:
Secret.
