At Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, we're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help design and integrate mission-critical electronic hardware for advanced aircraft systems. What You Will Be Doing

As the Mechanical Engineer - Level 3 you will be responsible for delivering robust mechanical solutions that enable the EHD team's mission-critical hardware to perform flawlessly in aerospace environments.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design and analyze mechanical components for flight-critical electronic hardware.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate mechanical and electronic subsystems.
  • Conduct tolerance analysis, stress testing, and validation of hardware assemblies.
  • Generate detailed CAD models and engineering drawings that meet aerospace standards.
  • Support prototype build, test, and troubleshooting activities.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree, with a minimum of three years of professional experience (or equivalent experience)
Experience Designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and evaluation

Desired skills

Aerospace Electronic Product Development Experience
Experience in Cadence schematic capture, PCB layout Cadence Allegro
Experience maintaining electronic hardware library (Cadence)
Experience designing mechanical aspects of aerospace electronic components (CATIA Preferred)
Experience estimating
Familiarity with LM Aero processes, procedures, and tools
Functions well in a creative, high-tempo, collaborative, cross-functional, dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment

Work Schedule Information
