Description

You will be the Aeronautical Engineering Associate Manager for the Design Process Integration Team which is responsible for shaping engineering design policies, procedures, and tool usage across Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aeronautical Engineering Associate Manager you will be responsible for leading first‑line engineering and Design Process Integration efforts, driving process innovation, and ensuring rigorous documentation standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead first‑line engineering efforts and guide the Design Process Integration team in policy creation and maintenance.
  • Develop, document, and validate Build‑To‑Package (BTP) processes and ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements.
  • Conduct engineering tool testing, implementation, and support for the Project Saber PLM segment.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Design Release and Data Transfer organizations, coordinating with DPI policies.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to review design artifacts, identify reuse opportunities, and drive process improvements.

Further Information About This Opportunity

Must be a U.S. citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in one or more aircraft/air vehicle engineering release and change systems or drawing/document systems used by AMMM, IFG, ADP, or F-35 business areas such as Dassault 3DX (Enovia), Siemens Team Center, Lockheed Aeronautics systems PDM, Aero Source, ADMS, or CAD Data Net, or legacy systems.
  • Experience with similar systems or related drawing, model, Bill of Material and note information at any other employer would be acceptable.
  • Strong customer service and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • A strong desire to coach and lead other engineers.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S. as a permanent resident.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and appropriate relevant experience.
Desired Skills

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences and an appropriate amount of relevant experience.

  • Experience in any one or more of the following:
    Aircraft or aircraft‑related system design experience;
    Design support or design verification experience; CAD system use or system management – Siemens NX and/or Team Center (or as part of the Siemens Xcelerator suite) preferred;
    Project management experience;
    Familiarity with one or more database systems or reporting systems such as DB2, Oracle, eQube, Tableau or similar systems;
    Experience using SAP, ALIS, or other Supply Chain, Sustainment, Production Operations or Business Systems used by LM Aero.
