You will be the Systems Engineering Manager (Specialty Engineering) for the Aeronautics Specialty Engineering team which is responsible for driving centralized specialty engineering practices. What You Will Be Doing As the Systems Engineering Manager (Specialty Engineering) you will be responsible for leading the implementation and execution of Centralized Specialty Engineering practices, including Affordability Engineering, Exportability Control Compliance, and Exportability and Disclosure Policy across all Aeronautics Lines of Business.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Lead the execution of Affordability Engineering, Exportability Control Compliance, and related policy initiatives.
* Direct Earned Value Management System strategy, engineering processes, technical personnel, and tooling to ensure efficient operations.
* Oversee functional management duties such as performance assessments, career development, merit and salary actions, and training-plan creation.
* Manage staffing activities-including resource forecasting, recruitment, selection of experienced professionals, contractors, college hires, and interns.
* Cultivate a dynamic, accountable work environment that aligns technical strategy with Aeronautics Line of Business objectives. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Experience leading teams, projects, or cross-functional efforts Experience working with technical systems in aerospace and/or defense environments Desired
Skills:
Master's degree in Engineering and/or MBA Formal leadership and/or personnel management experience Earned Value Management System (EVMS) training and experience. Strong communication, presentation, and able to build collaborative relationships Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills in dynamic environments Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences Technical problem-solving and analytical skills Security Clearance Statement:

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
