Systems Engineer - Field Sales Support- Level 2

Job Overview

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Systems Engineer (Field Sales Support) to provide in‑house technical support and problem analysis for the F‑35 Air Vehicle Structure Team. The role involves in‑depth analysis of structural and sub‑system issues on engineering changes, monitoring performance indicators, and identifying emerging failure trends.

• Perform problem analysis and disposition for the F‑35 Structure and/or Low Observables teams.
• Provide in‑house technical support to the F‑35 Air Vehicle Structure Team.
• Analyze structural and sub‑system difficulties on proposed and pending engineering changes.
• Monitor system performance indicators to identify emerging failure trends.
• Participate in periodic 24/7 on‑call coverage and short‑term travel as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of combined education and experience.
• Experience with technical writing, design drawing/reading/interpretation.
• Experience with problem analysis and technical issue resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• CATIA/CAD.
• TEAMCENTER.
• Defense industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• CRM (ALIS).

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Position requires a government security clearance (Secret).
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and on‑call coverage.
• Position located at a facility that requires special access.
