Job Summary:

Textron, a leader in aviation pioneering advancements in the field, is seeking a SPRINT Drives Build Engineer to manage drive system manufacturing activities, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance objectives are met for the SPRINT X-plane Demonstrator project.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary SPRINT build team focal for drives system content

Support drive system design and producibility efforts

Coordinate drive system inputs to the program's Design Fabrication Specification

Coordinate all logistics and specialty transportation required for offload execution

Coordinate perishable and non-perishable tool design and acquisition

Author content for drives system build strategy and related programmatic documentation such as Quality Assurance Program Plan, Manufacturing Action Plan, Configuration Management Plan, etc.

Develop and deploy effective programmatic metrics and supporting data to assess drives system manufacturing build status

Identify, acquire, and deliver long lead materials to support SPRINT program schedule

Manage offload supplier work packages to maintain part pedigree and ensure QA traceability

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
10 years of related experience in drives system production engineering, experimental build, development, and testing
Experience managing drive system manufacturing content for internal and external manufacturing, including offload operations
Effective communication across multiple locations, organizational levels, and cultures
Ability to evaluate manufacturing discrepancies and develop effective dispositions
Strong knowledge of software tools - 3DX, SAP, ENOVIA, Bell Experimental and Production Manufacturing Execution Systems
Creative and critical thinking skills for rapid execution in X-plane build
Excellent oral and written communication skills
