Siemens Industry is looking for an Industrial Engineer - 2nd Shift for our Fort Worth, TX factory located in the heart of the DFW Metroplex. Here you will work in a modern, dynamic factory environment, where we increasingly rely on artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize production processes and drive innovation. Our growing facility has over 450 employees that produce high-quality, engineered and make-to-order power distribution equipment.
The industrial engineer's responsibilities include analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiency, and ensuring that final products meet the established quality standards. This includes documentation and performance measurement of manufacturing processes, new product introduction, improvements to production lines, capital expenditures, cost savings measures and fixture design.
The hours for this role will be 3:00pm- 11:00pm
- Develop and maintain detailed equipment lists for manufacturing and production operations.
- Conduct cost analyses for equipment, labor, and materials to support budgeting and investment decisions.
- Prepare accurate production cost estimates for quoting, planning, and financial forecasting.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on cost and equipment planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Support layout planning, time studies, and workflow analysis to improve operational efficiency.
- Apply industrial engineering methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and simulation modeling.
- Maintain documentation for cost models, equipment specifications, and process changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing operations. Also consider a recent college grad for this role.
- Understanding or exposure to manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Experience with ERP systems and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, Excel, simulation tools).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Experience:
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other complex manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and cost modeling.
