Manufacturing Engineer | Lockheed Martin
The F-35 is designed with the entire battlespace in mind, bringing new flexibility and capability to the United States and its allies. Reliance on any single capability — electronic attack, stealth, etc. — is not sufficient for success and survivability in the future. Missions traditionally performed by specialized aircraft — air-to-air combat, air-to, ground strikes, electronic attack, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance — can now be executed by a squadron of F-35s.
F35 Aircraft Mate/ Forward Fuselage Manufacturing Engineer will directly support primarily the Mate production team. What You Will Be Doing Selected Candidate will be required to:
- Perform floor support to solve immediate production constraints.
- Develop corrective actions to improve the production system, reducing Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) cost and hours per unit (HPU).
- Update the manufacturing plan.
- Perform manufacturing evaluations of engineering changes.
- Perform QAR corrective action.
- Create cost reduction initiatives.
- Other Manufacturing Engineering standard work (Tool Trial Runs, Work Around Plans, etc.).
First Shift This position is located at a facility that requires special access:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements.

Desired skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- BS in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Possess experience giving persuasive presentations.
- Understanding Lean and Six Sigma Techniques.
- Strong Excel experience.
- Knowledge of F-35 production line practices and requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems installation procedures and requirements
- 2+ years of related experience

Employee will work on-site full-time
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered:

accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
