Electrical Preconstruction Manager

Our Preconstruction team leads the front end of our projects and works closely with clients, design partners, and suppliers to plan, price, and position electrical construction projects for success. What You Will Be Doing

• Leading the preconstruction process for electrical construction projects from concept through final proposal
• Developing accurate and strategic budgets, conceptual estimates, and detailed cost models
• Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications, narratives, and design documents
• Identifying constructability issues, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives
• Collaborating with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams to define project scope and design direction
• Managing preconstruction schedules, deliverables, and milestones
• Guiding the estimating team and supporting the development of junior preconstruction staff
• Overseeing the development and maintenance of estimating tools, databases, and historical cost information
• Preparing bid packages, proposals, and presentations for clients
• Leading design-build and design-assist efforts, including scope alignment and early procurement strategies
• Reviewing estimates prepared by others for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals
• Supporting project handoff to operations by clearly communicating scope, assumptions, risks, and project conditions
• Working on change-order pricing, cost updates, and pre-award clarifications as needed
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors

What You Need for This Position

• 3+ years of electrical estimating or preconstruction experience
• Strong understanding of preconstruction workflows, estimating software, and cost modeling
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and design documents
• Strong team mentality and leadership skills
• Experience with MS Office Suite;
  Accubid, Live Count, McCormick, or Con Est
• Project list or bid list preferred
