We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience to join our Railroad Bridge team in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will be familiar with or experienced in Rail Bridge or Highway Bridge design. In this role you will work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Technicians across multiple offices to deliver services for Class 1, short line, and commuter railroads.
LocationThis position has a hybrid work schedule. When in office, you will work from our Fort Worth, TX office.
The Impact You Will Have- Perform basic analysis of project elements.
- Perform load development, design calculations of project elements, and check work.
- Prepare organized structural calculations.
- Design structural elements and details.
- Develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.
- Perform tasks on schedule and within budget.
- Work independently under the guidance of a Project Manager.
- BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline.
- MS in Civil Engineering preferred.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year.
- Minimum one year of structural design experience or relevant internship experience.
- Excellent communication for internal and external clients.
- Detail-oriented and experienced with developing plans and specifications.
- Ability to perform complex analysis and design.
- Familiarity or proficiency with AutoCAD, Micro Station, Open Roads, or other relevant software.
- Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
