Project Engineer - Civil or Environmental

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Engineer in Bedford, Texas (located in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex) to work on various civil, environmental, and solid waste-related projects. You should be a quick learner, motivated, team-player, and have the desire to grow professionally. Projects focus on land development, environmental compliance, and solid waste management, including landfills, landfill gas collection systems, transfer stations, composting and recycling facility infrastructure, and other similar types of projects, which require AutoCAD skills, design, engineering, permitting, and construction inspections.

This position will be based in the office 5 days/week.

• Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles and practices
• Complete designs using 2D and Civil 3D AutoCAD drafting, mathematical calculations, etc.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications
• Make decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plan and coordinate work, and represent us at meetings and conferences
• Perform construction-phase engineering services, including engineer certification and field inspection, in various types of terrain and weather
• Engage in business development including proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows
• Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory/senior review on proposed plans, reports and other project deliverables

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering major required
• Minimum of 4 years of civil engineering and/or solid waste design experience required
• E.I.T. required, P.E. preferred
• Experience with using AutoCAD Civil 3D design software
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required

USD $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 /Yr.
