Job Description
You will be the Service Life Analysis Engineer for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) which is responsible for advancing airframe durability and mission readiness.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Service Life Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for applying durability and damage tolerance (DADT) expertise to support force-management, field, and depot activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Using crack initiation and crack growth analysis tools to perform design sizing, DADT updates, Material Review Board (MRB) support, and field dispositions.
- Developing force-management source data to actively manage the airframe and ensure safe operation.
- Creating and implementing Force Structural Maintenance Plans (FSMPs) and Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) to support force-management activities.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred;
Civil Engineers will also be considered.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Prior experience in a related industry.
Desired skills
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in airframe drawings, structural load paths, aircraft structural behavior, fracture mechanics methods, and aircraft maintenance requirements.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs under MIL-STD-1530.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625.
