Remote opportunity. Must be available on an on‑call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched within two hours of initial contact from Gulfstream.
Recruiting in the Southwest region:
Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 8 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical), including 2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience.
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain a Passport.
Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components on AOG aircraft during road trips and within the Customer Support organization. Provide troubleshooting and repair duties with accuracy and skill on customer live in‑service aircraft, diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
Essential Functions- Available on an on‑call basis, able to be on site or dispatched on the FAST aircraft within two hours of initial contact.
- Communicate effectively with the customer, scheduling, FAST flight crews, Tech Ops, business office, vendors, Warranty, Field Service Representatives, and Hangar Ops.
- Act as single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer to relay aircraft schedule and return to service expectations.
- Perform AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
- Work independently and consistently to perform assigned maintenance and avionics tasks within quoted or standard CMP time with little or no supervision.
- Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems.
- Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
- Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide one‑on‑one briefings during the road trip.
- Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely.
- Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
- Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installation of major components.
- Order and receive all tooling and materials needed to service the AOG aircraft.
- Arrange shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream.
- Identify required advanced troubleshooting techniques for all model aircraft with assistance from Tech Ops.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
- Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
