Overview
Flight test electrical design engineer in Lockheed Martin. This role supports the Flight Test team across F‑16 and F‑22 lines of business. Responsibilities include electrical design activities for installation of flight test equipment and data system components, releasing engineering drawings, work instructions, supporting airworthiness documentation, monitoring fabrication activities, coordinating lab procedures, and supporting aircraft checkout and flight operations.
Responsibilities- Development, installation oversight, and validation of electrical designs.
- Coordination with suppliers, internal and external integrated product teams, management, and the customer.
- Technical engineering support for installation and testing at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Engineering liaison for flight test and instrumentation modification activities.
- Produce and read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical procedures.
- Develop troubleshooting plans and discrepancy resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience using CATIA V5, Solid Works, or comparable CAD software for design and modeling.
- Strong communication and people skills with the ability to work in an engineering and technician team environment.
- Experience with reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Experience with electrical design in an aerospace environment.
- Familiar with fighter aircraft technical data, maintenance practices, flight operations, and weapons.
- Familiar with aircraft structures as it relates to equipment installation and electrical designs.
- Experience with flight test instrumentation electrical design.
This position requires a government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for consideration. Clearance level:
Secret.
