Structural Professional Engineer RoleThe Structural Professional Engineer will play a dual-role position with approximately 90% drafting/design work and 10% engineering responsibility. This PE Engineer will be heavily involved in Solid Works-based drafting while also performing structural calculations and providing professional engineering oversight and stamping.
- Perform detailed drafting and design work for steel and aluminum systems.
- Support production of customer submittals and fabrication drawings.
- Conduct structural engineering calculations for design validation.
- Review and stamp engineering drawings as a licensed PE.
- Work closely with EIT and drafting team members on project execution.
- Contribute engineering input without removing ownership from drafting responsibilities.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure accuracy and buildability.
- Support continuous improvement of design and calculation processes.
- Licensed PE Civil or Structural accepted;
Structural preferred. - 5 years of experience preferred; early-career PE strongly preferred.
- Strong background in structural steel design is non-negotiable.
- Experience with drafting/design work Solid Works preferred.
- Ability and willingness to remain hands‑on with drafting responsibilities.
- Bridge or span experience for civil candidates is a plus.
- Exposure to H‑20 / HL‑93 design is beneficial but not required.
- Multi‑state licensure preferred especially seismic regions;
Texas or reciprocity accepted.
