Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Validation Engineer to join our Dallas Engineering team. You will be responsible for the "bring‑up" and validation of advanced analog and mixed‑signal integrated circuits, bridging the gap between design and production to ensure our silicon meets all functional, electrical, and performance specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the bench validation activity of silicon ICs during product development.
  • Understand product specifications, chip architecture, and behavior.
  • Develop a detailed post‑Si characterization plan and work closely with design, systems, and test teams to execute it.
  • Design and develop schematics and layout of validation boards.
  • Create and automate bench setups to streamline characterization and validation work.
  • Perform system‑level and parametric tests on the bench.
  • Debug device and setup related issues and drive the issue to closure independently.
  • Review and publish detailed result reports with stakeholders of product development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience validating silicon ICs.
  • Experience with power devices such as DC‑DC converters or e‑fuses is a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience with bench automation languages:
Python (preferred), LabVIEW, and Test Stand.
  • Extensive experience with laboratory bench equipment, automated bench setups, and generic embedded systems like Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
  • Good understanding of PCB design for power products.
  • Hands‑on experience in design and layout of PCB hardware using KiCAD or Altium.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Spotfire.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with solid verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Open‑mindedness, eagerness to learn, and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Passion for new, innovative methods and technologies.
