Service Life Analysis Engineer - Level 2 | Lockheed Martin

You will be the Service Life Analysis Engineer for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) which is responsible for advancing airframe durability and mission readiness.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Service Life Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for applying durability and damage tolerance (DADT) expertise to support force‑management, field, and depot activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Using crack initiation and crack growth analysis tools to perform design sizing, DADT updates, Material Review Board (MRB) support, and field dispositions.
  • Developing force‑management source data to actively manage the airframe and ensure safe operation.
  • Creating and implementing Force Structural Maintenance Plans (FSMPs) and Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) to support force‑management activities.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Desired skills

- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in airframe drawings, structural load paths, aircraft structural behavior, fracture mechanics methods, and aircraft maintenance requirements.

- Strong communication skills.

- Understanding of Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs under MIL-STD-1530.

- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and manage time effectively.

- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
