Geologist II

We partner with clients to deliver smart, data‑driven solutions to complex environmental and infrastructure challenges. Verdantas is seeking a talented Staff Geologist II in Fort Worth, Texas.

• Perform field tasks, including data collection, measurements, and excavation observation.
• Prepare field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Operate and maintain remediation systems.
• Maintain Excel databases associated with regulatory compliance.
• Assist with preparing regulatory submittals, such as permit applications and plans.
• Oversee well installations and soil borings.
• Collect groundwater, soil, sediment, air, and surface water samples.
• Retrieve necessary data using online databases, offline records, or other means.
• Enter collected data into report format using applicable software and company formatting guidelines.
• Apply basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs.
• Assist with on‑call emergency projects on occasion.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0–2years of relevant experience.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite of products.
• 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus.
• Previous consulting experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites.

The starting salary for this position is $63,000.00, with final compensation determined based on qualifications and licensing status.
