Our client is looking for a remote Low Frequency Electromagnetic Engineer to join their team!
This is a remote/full-time/direct-hire position. Salary based on experience: $92k-$121k.
What You'll Do Deliver Expert Pre-Sales Support- Partner with account managers to evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate electromagnetic simulation tools.
- Deliver software demonstrations and technical presentations across a wide range of subjects.
- Support the sales cycle by answering technical questions and helping customers understand product capabilities.
- Teach ANSYS training courses at client sites, online, and inour clients' offices across the U.S. and Canada.
- Deliver high-quality instruction that helps users gain deep proficiency with Maxwell, Motor-CAD, and Electronics Desktop tools.
- Work with customers to understand their analysis requirements and expectations.
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules for consulting opportunities.
- Perform the full analysis workflow: geometry setup, material definition, meshing, solving, and post-processing.
- Propose alternative design solutions based on results and engineering judgment.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
- Provide technical assistance to ANSYS users through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Troubleshoot issues related to simulation workflows, modeling approaches, solver behavior, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required;
Master's degree preferred. - Documented experience with low-frequency electromagnetic simulation tools such as Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD, Q3D, Simplorer, or Dassault/JMAG.
- Prior industry experience and/or publications demonstrating relevant expertise.
- Strong theoretical background in computational electromagnetics and real-world applications such as motors, generators, power electronics, transformers, actuators, wireless charging, induction heating, sensors, or power converters.
- Ability to support pre-sales discussions and drive software and services sales through technical expertise.
- Excellent English-based written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional appearance and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within engineering and sales teams.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to obtain ANSYS certifications to expand technical proficiency.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
