Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a Production Engineer to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.

The person in this role will enhance and sustain manufacturing processes that consistently meet quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives. This role partners closely with industrial, quality, process, and product engineering teams to drive throughput improvements, reduce variability, and support reliable equipment and tooling while enabling successful new product introductions. The ideal candidate blends strong engineering fundamentals with hands‑on manufacturing experience and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze production processes and line layouts to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and waste; implement solutions to increase throughput and reduce cycle time.
  • Lead root‑cause investigations for defects and downtime using structured methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, FMEA), ensuring sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize process flows, work instructions, SOPs, and operator training materials.
  • Implement and maintain process controls and statistical process control (SPC) systems; analyze production data to monitor process capability and trends.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and product transfers into manufacturing.
  • Partner with cross‑functional engineering teams to design or specify tooling, fixtures, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Identify and drive automation improvements in collaboration with controls and automation teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through project proposals, cost‑benefit analyses, and execution.
  • Work with quality engineering to define inspection criteria, support first article inspections (FAI), and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Provide technical support during production escalations, product launches, and critical events.
  • Mentor technicians and operators on engineering principles and problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Track and report key manufacturing metrics (OEE, first‑pass yield, throughput, scrap, downtime) and deliver actionable improvement plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in process design, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (Excel, Minitab, SPC); familiarity with SQL or scripting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to precision.
  • Comfortable working hands‑on in a production environment (including lifting, standing, and navigating equipment areas).
  • Flexibility to support production needs, including occasional extended hours.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily based in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to machinery, tools, and moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and movement throughout the facility.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status. We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act, City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance.
