Overview
The Drafting Checker will be responsible for checking a drawing’s accuracy and overall quality, based on engineering design, in-house drafting standards, manufacturing capabilities, customer specifications, as well as industry-specific codes and standards.
Responsibilities- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in steel /structural detailing-drafting.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor and /or other computer-aided design software.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Able to conceptualize assemblies and how subassemblies and parts come together.
- Knowledge of AWS weld symbols.
- Knowledge of AISC standards.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to work well with other team members.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.
Working Conditions and Physical EffortWork is typically performed in an office work environment.
