Job Overview

We are seeking a junior to mid-level Liaison Engineer to join our growing team. This engineer will work closely with the lead of Liaison Engineering to support the 777-freighter conversion STC program. The engineer will be responsible for creating and revising design data in support of cargo conversion structural modifications to aircraft primary structure, and system modifications or supplementation for the installation of structural components.

The engineer interfaces with internal and external partners and suppliers, procurement, and manufacturing in performing these functions. This full-time position is onsite located at our Fort Worth, Texas facility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supports Production needs as required when modification questions arise.
  • Revises designs to aircraft primary or secondary structures.
  • Designs repairs for aircraft structure that are beyond the scope of SRM repairs.
  • Coordinates with Engineering project & functional leads on redesign efforts
  • Supports the integration of structural and systems installation components within the aircraft configuration.
  • Ensures designs meet customer criteria, quality standards and FAA/EASA requirements as applicable.
  • Achieves established metrics for timely resolution of production issues during the program.
  • Represents the department during Production meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job

Skills:
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and assembly principles.
  • Knowledge of FAA requirements.
  • Well organized and able to prioritize projects.
  • Able to operate computer applications (Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and engineering software (Solid Works/CATIA).
  • Excellent understanding of company operations and needs.
  • Good communications skills.
Required Qualifications:
  • College degree in engineering or aircraft related field or minimum 5 yearsxperience in aerospace engineering design or repair of primary and secondary structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly experienced in the aviation/aerospace field with a background of working closely with Production groups.
