Seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineering to provide technical leadership, quality assurance, and design review support for military construction and civil works projects. This role focuses on evaluating electrical design deliverables, ensuring compliance with NEC, UFC, and project-specific standards, and supporting government design review processes within a multidisciplinary A/E environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review and evaluate electrical design documents, including plans, specifications, calculations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, UFC, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Provide technical observations, recommendations, and quality assurance reviews throughout the design lifecycle.
- Support government design review processes, including independent technical reviews through platforms such as Proj Net.
- Verify resolution of design comments and redlines prior to submission milestones.
- Assess electrical systems for technical accuracy, interdisciplinary coordination, and constructability.
- Monitor design deliverables and provide schedule-related insights to support project execution.
- Prepare technical reports, analyses, status updates, and review summaries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary A/E teams and contribute to process improvements and quality initiatives.
- Mentor engineering staff on electrical design best practices, emerging technologies, and industry standards.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum 15 years of electrical design experience for building and infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in:
- Power distribution systems (208V, 480V, and medium/primary voltage)
- Generator and backup power systems
- Lightning protection systems
- Fire alarm systems
- COMM/DATA systems
- Grounding and bonding design
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM platforms, ELUM, and Easy Power.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, UFC, and related electrical design standards.
- Excellent technical review, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and support government-focused design review efforts.
- Experience supporting military construction, USACE, NAVFAC, or civil works projects.
- Familiarity with Proj Net or similar government review platforms.
- Experience coordinating complex multidisciplinary A/E projects.
- Proven mentoring and technical leadership experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple reviews, deliverables, and deadlines.
Office-based role within a professional A/E environment supporting military and civil works projects. Responsibilities include independent technical review of electrical designs, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, participation in formal review processes, and use of industry-standard design and analysis software. Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $155000.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
