Wistron Info Comm USA Corporation Position Summary The Equipment Engineer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing equipment engineering activities to support manufacturing operations, production efficiency, equipment reliability, process improvement, and preventive maintenance programs. This role supervises a team of Equipment Engineers and Technicians, ensuring equipment uptime, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, managing capital projects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and lead Equipment Engineers and Technicians in daily manufacturing support activities.

Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of production equipment.

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.

Manage equipment upgrade and automation projects to improve productivity and quality.

Support manufacturing operations by providing rapid response to equipment-related issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.

Establish and monitor equipment performance metrics, including uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.Collaborate with Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, and Program Management teams.

Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service contracts and external support.

Develop and maintain equipment operating procedures, maintenance documentation, and engineering specifications.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements.

Support production scalability, new product introductions (NPI), and factory expansion initiatives.

Prepare reports, budgets, capital expenditure requests, and equipment performance analyses.

Coach, train, and evaluate team members while supporting employee development and succession planning.

Qualifications Education Bachelor 's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical discipline required.

Experience Minimum 5-8 years of equipment engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment within electronics, server, computer, telecommunications, or related industries preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, robotics, PLCs, and industrial controls.

Experience with preventive maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance programs.

Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

Understanding of industrial safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience with MES, ERP, and manufacturing software systems.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience in high-volume electronics or server manufacturing.

Knowledge of SMT, assembly, testing, and system integration equipment.

Experience implementing Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing technologies.

Physical Requirements Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Ability to work near industrial machinery and production equipment.

Ability to use computer equipment and engineering tools.

Work Environment Manufacturing and production environment.

May require support during off-shift operations, weekends, or equipment emergency situations.

Occasional travel may be required for vendor visits, training, or equipment qualification activities.
