This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, with in the Office of Environment, Health and Safety at WCF, in Fort Worth, TX. As an Environmental Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating Bureau-wide programs designed to ensure safe, healthy, environmentally sound facilities for employees, contractors, visitors and neighbors at its facilities.

This opportunity is also open to Status Candidates under Announcement 26-BEP-. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

  • -Assisting in the development of, or participating in environmental programs, encompassing hazardous and non-hazardous waste compliance, spill preparedness prevention, and response plans; AND
  • -Making recommendations in matters concerning regulatory requirements that relate to industrial wastewater pretreatment or sanitary wastewater treatment, and storm water management; AND
  • -Serving on a team that operates and maintains an industrial wastewater pretreatment plant or sanitary wastewater treatment plant; or managing a contract for the operations and maintenance of an industrial wastewater pretreatment plant or sanitary wastewater treatment plant.
