Position Summary

Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced Aircrew Survival Flight Equipment Technician II (WG-4818-10) to support VMFA-112 at NAS JRB Fort Worth, Texas. This position is responsible for performing advanced inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modification, testing, certification, and servicing of Aircrew Survival Equipment (ALSE) and Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) supporting F/A-18 multiple variant aircraft.

The Aircrew Survival Flight Equipment Technician II serves as a senior life support technician responsible for ensuring all assigned survival equipment is maintained in a fully mission-capable condition while meeting applicable NAVAIR technical publications, quality assurance standards, and safety requirements. This position provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and supports aircrew safety through accurate inspection, maintenance, testing, certification, and accountability of aviation life support equipment.

Job Description

The Aircrew Survival Flight Equipment Technician II performs advanced maintenance and inspection of aviation life support equipment, including flight helmets, oxygen masks, parachutes, torso harnesses, anti-G garments, survival vests, flotation devices, life rafts, emergency locator transmitters, survival radios, emergency signaling devices, aircraft oxygen systems, and other assigned Aircrew Survival Equipment (ALSE). Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, testing, certifying, configuring, and servicing life support equipment while ensuring compliance with applicable maintenance schedules and technical directives.

This position performs operational and functional testing of emergency communication equipment, services aircraft oxygen systems, replaces life-limited components, maintains configuration control, and ensures accountability of serialized survival equipment and hazardous materials. The technician interprets maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, illustrated parts breakdowns (IPBs), wiring diagrams, and other technical publications to perform maintenance in accordance with approved procedures.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate maintenance documentation, equipment history records, inspection reports, inventory records, and configuration documentation while coordinating with Maintenance Control, Production Control, Quality Assurance, engineering personnel, and customer representatives. The technician also provides technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior personnel, assists with quality assurance inspections and maintenance audits, and supports continuous process improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, inspection accuracy, and mission readiness.

Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety while maintaining compliance with explosive safety requirements, oxygen servicing procedures, hazardous material handling requirements, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention programs, environmental regulations, and all applicable NAVAIR maintenance standards.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of aviation life support or aircrew survival equipment maintenance experience, with significant experience supporting F/A-18 aircraft across multiple variants.
  • Demonstrated experience inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, certifying, and configuring Aircrew Survival Equipment (ALSE) and Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft survival equipment, aviation life support systems, emergency egress systems, aircraft oxygen systems, and associated maintenance procedures.
