RECARO Aircraft Seating Americas, Inc. seeks a DMU Designer II to support Engineering & Design for innovative aircraft seating solutions. In this role, you will develop and maintain detailed digital mock-ups and 3D CAD models, ensuring optimal fit, form, and function within the aircraft cabin. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve interface issues, support product development, and drive design quality.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain DMU models for aircraft seating systems in support of engineering and design projects
- Create and update 3
- D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings that meet aviation and company standards
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and certification teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance
- Perform fit, form, and function checks to validate integration of seats into aircraft cabins
- Support design reviews, resolve interface issues, and implement engineering changes in PLM systems
- Provide technical documentation and support for testing, certification, and production handover
Required Skills
- DMU (Digital Mock-Up) modeling3
- D CAD (CATIA, NX or similar)
- Mechanical design for aircraft interiors
- GD&T and engineering drawings
- PLM/PDM systems
- Finite Element Analysis basics
- Tolerance and stack-up analysis
- Design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA)
- Materials and structural fundamentals (metals/composites)
- Configuration and change management
