We're seeking an experienced Application Engineer to design and develop building automation and HVAC controls solutions for commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while collaborating with project teams from design through commissioning.

Responsibilities
  • Design building automation and HVAC controls systems from project plans and specifications.
  • Develop controls submittals, bills of material, programming requirements, and system layouts.
  • Program DDC controllers and building automation systems for new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Create building automation network architectures using industry-standard communication protocols.
  • Review project documentation and participate in project turnover meetings.
  • Generate startup and commissioning documentation for field teams.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
  • Perform occasional job site visits to support project execution and commissioning.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, application engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and building automation controls.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and controls design or estimating software.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with BACnet, Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Distech, Tridium, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Engineering degree or related technical education is a plus.
