Overview We are seeking an experienced Avionics Integration Engineer to support military aircraft upgrade and development programs. This role will focus on avionics systems integration, verification, testing, and performance analysis while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to deliver mission-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead avionics systems integration activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop system performance specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and integration test procedures.
- Perform aircraft and systems-level analysis to verify performance requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and support integration efforts to meet program objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with technical and performance requirements.
- Identify design improvements and enhancement opportunities for avionics and mission systems.
- Provide technical oversight to suppliers and subcontractors regarding performance, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Support technical proposal development and new business initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience integrating avionics systems on military or aerospace platforms.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) GPS IFF ADS-B TCAS ILS Radar Altimeters Air Data Systems MUOS VHF/UHF Radios SATCOM Datalinks - Experience developing integration requirements, test plans, and system-level verification activities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience integrating AC and DC aircraft power systems.
- Experience working with the following standards: RTCA DO-160 MIL-STD-810 MIL-STD-704 MIL-STD-1760 MIL-STD-883 MIL-STD-461 MIL-STD-464
- Experience supporting military aircraft modernization or upgrade programs.
- Previous supplier or subcontractor management experience.
Work on advanced military aerospace programs. Collaborate with highly skilled engineering teams. Long-term contract opportunity with potential for extension. Per diem offered for qualified candidates.
