What You Will Be Doing

As the Aeronautical Engineer Stf - E4 you will be responsible for providing stress analysis, including finite element models, for aircraft structures, mechanisms, doors, and subsystems, and collaborating closely with Design and Material Review Board counterparts.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Perform stress analysis and develop finite element models for aircraft structures, mechanisms, doors, and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with Design and Material Review Board to evaluate designs and ensure compliance.
  • Generate technical dispositions for discrepant or damaged parts in production and fielded aircraft.
  • Review analysis results and provide recommendations to improve structural integrity and reliability.
  • Document analysis methodology and support certification activities.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
-This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Provides stress analysis, including finite element models, for aircraft structure, mechanisms, doors, and subsystems. Works closely with Design and Material Review Board counterparts. Provides dispositions for discrepant or damaged parts in production or on fielded aircraft.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civel Engineering; (does not include Technology degrees such as Mechanical Engineering Technology)
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Previous stress analysis experience including classical hand analysis, automated stress analysis, and finite element model experience
  • Experience with Material Review Board dispositions, also known as Nonconformance Review, Discrepant Material Board, Corrective and Preventative Action Team, or similar
  • Experience with metallic and non-metallic (including composites) stress analysis
  • Direct experience in aircraft industry (including aerospace related products)
  • Past experience with working independently as well as in a collaborative environment
Desired Skills
  • Excellent communicator, capable of interpreting engineering and customer descriptions. Able to accurately convey engineering direction for dispositions
