Structural Intern
Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Structural team in our Fort Worth, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will be helping perform Transportation design, including TxDOT, city, and county roadway and highway design projects. This Civil Engineering Intern will assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Transportation projects as well as helping with CAD work.
The Internship will begin on June 7th, 2027, and conclude on August 13th, 2027.
Structural Intern
Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Structural team in our Fort Worth, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will be helping perform Transportation design, including TxDOT, city, and county roadway and highway design projects. This Civil Engineering Intern will assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Transportation projects as well as helping with CAD work.
The Internship will begin on June 7th, 2027, and conclude on August 13th, 2027.
Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday.
Halff does not pay for or provide housing for Internships.
What You Will Do- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Transportation projects
- Assist with drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
- Great communication skills
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
- Multi-discipline teams to meet challenges that are often complicated by aging infrastructure and shrinking budgets.
- Extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably.
- Collaborative approach to transportation projects.
