What You Will Be Doing

As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing aircraft, missiles, and components, establishing structural specifications, performing structural dynamics analysis, and conducting tests.

You are an analytical and collaborative engineer with deep expertise in structural dynamics and aircraft systems. You thrive in complex problem‑solving environments, bring precision to design work, and are motivated by delivering high‑impact solutions that advance aerospace capabilities.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
-This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering

  • Experience with vibroacoustic and data processing
  • Proficient in scripting language (Mat Lab, Python, VBA, C++, etc.)
  • Experience working on a team as a technical subject matter expert or near expert.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with running and interpreting ADAMS multibody dynamics models
  • Experience with running and interpreting ABAQUS-equivalents to Modal Analysis (SOL
    103), Random Vibration (SOL
    111), Transient Analysis (SOL
    112), Non-linear analysis (SOL
    106/400)
  • Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment
  • Experience making/updating Finite Element Models (FEM) in ABAQUS/CAE (useful to know Patran, Hypermesh, FEMAP, or similar
  • Generally has 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

    PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
