Analyze and investigate consumer/commercial retail and lease credit applications for passenger cars/vans, make decisions to mitigate MBFS credit risk while supporting and maximizing service levels for dealer partners, and build relationships with dealers and Dealer Relations Managers to increase MBFS retail and lease penetration.
Responsibilities- Analyze, decide, and investigate retail and lease credit applications; communicate decisions to dealers via the ACE system and telephone promptly; negotiate conditional approvals with dealers when necessary.
- Execute buying strategies for dealer bodies as directed by management (60%).
- Build positive dealer relations to increase market penetration while providing professional, courteous, consultative, and timely customer service; support and assist Dealer Relations Managers by serving as the inside sales force and promoting the benefits of MBFS retail programs (20%).
- Participate in ongoing development responsibilities such as training, coaching, and team meetings to improve underwriting skills; work on various assignments and/or reporting responsibilities to support information sharing for continuous improvement of the Retail Credit team (10%).
- Support eContracting and eDiscounting by working directly with the dealer and Case
360 to correct mismatch errors between the contract and the MBFS credit system; act as liaison between the dealer and the funding department (10%).
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of overall work experience; preferred experience includes:
- Business–General: 2 years
- Collections: 1 year
- Customer Service: 1 year
- Remarketing experience
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skills- Analytical skills: ability to integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity.
- Corporate mainframe proficiency.
- Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills; strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Collections Agent;
Remarketing Program Advisor;
Customer Service Representative;
Dealer Services Liaison;
Team Leader in any of the aforementioned departments.
