General Ledger Accountant
Company: DFW Security Protective Force
Location: In-Office with potential for Hybrid/Remote Work

Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting and bookkeeping tasks across our multi-state operations.
Key Responsibilities- General Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. - Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Payroll Management:
Record payroll and payroll tax activity for employees located across multiple states, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. - Correspond with payroll provider to maintain up-to-date payroll account information.
- Vendor Management:
Record vendor invoices across multiple states to ensure timely and accurate recording of expenses and liabilities. - Maintain accounts payable subledger and A/P Aging to ensure timely payments to vendors.
- State-Specific Compliance:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements for all operating states. - Review payroll provider filings and correspond as necessary to prepare and file state-specific tax forms and reports accurately.
- Financial Reporting:
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. - Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Audit Support:
Prepare documentation and provide support during internal and external audits. - Software Proficiency:
Use Financial Management Software; knowledge of Win Team is not required but required to become proficient. - Proficiency in payroll and financial management tools as necessary.
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; experience managing finances for multi-state operations is highly preferred.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in an accounting software and willingness to learn and become proficient with the Win Team Accounting and Financial Management Software. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with state-specific tax laws and.
- Understanding of multi-state financial operations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Potential for remote or hybrid work schedule (depending on proficiency). Persons residing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area preferred since this position will require some in-office work.
