Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Controller to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will oversee financial operations and ensure accurate project accounting for our construction projects. This position is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is eager to contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee all aspects of project accounting, including contract budget setup, change orders, billing, and subcontractor invoicing.

- Prepare and maintain financial spreadsheets and reports to ensure accurate tracking and analysis of financial data.

- Execute journal entries and support month-end closing procedures to maintain compliance and accuracy.

- Utilize construction accounting software, such as Foundation Software, to streamline financial processes.

- Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial data aligns with project goals and timelines.

- Monitor and manage deadlines to ensure timely completion of financial tasks and reporting.

- Support AIA billing processes and ensure documentation meets industry standards.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficient workflows.

- Stay updated on industry trends and technical specifics to support the evolving needs of the construction sector.

- Foster a collaborative environment and contribute to the overall success of projects through effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements - Proven experience in construction accounting, including project accounting and financial management.

- Proficiency in using Foundation Software or similar accounting platforms.

- Strong understanding of journal entries and month-end close procedures.

- Ability to create and maintain detailed financial spreadsheets and reports.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams.

- Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and adapting to industry advancements.

- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to contributing to project success.
