Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

We are assisting a high-growth professional services firm in the Fort Worth area in hiring a Controller.

This role is ideal for someone currently or recently serving as a Controller or Assistant Controller within a professional services firm (law firm, CPA firm, consulting firm, or similar) who is comfortable leading teams and managing a billing-driven accounting environment.

• Team: 5–7 direct reports

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, billing, payroll, and close)
• Oversee hourly billing, invoicing, WIP, and revenue recognition
• Own the cash cycle, including invoicing cadence and AR collections
• Manage, develop, and grow the accounting team
• Strengthen processes, controls, and systems to support growth

• Current or prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience in a professional services firm
• CPA preferred
• 7–15 years of GAAP-based accrual accounting experience
• Strong leadership skills with stable job history
