Typical Day

As a Foreclosure Specialist II, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the foreclosure process, working with a high degree of autonomy and expertise. You will be expected to leverage your comprehensive understanding of the legal and financial procedures involved to ensure accuracy and adherence to all applicable regulations. You will also mentor and guide junior staff.

The Foreclosure Specialist II Will
  • Foreclosure Case Management: manage a caseload of foreclosure accounts, including reviewing loan documentation, tracking critical deadlines, and ensuring compliance with company policies and investor guidelines. This role involves handling more complex cases and resolving escalated issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication: communicate and collaborate with internal parties including multiple levels of leadership and encompassing multiple lines of business such as Loss Mitigation, Loan Modification, Foreclosure, Foreclosure Review, and Bankruptcy. This role requires a high level of professional communication.
  • Compliance and Accuracy: ensure that all foreclosure actions are accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, and investor requirements. Serve as a resource for ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Process Management: identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: provide guidance and mentorship to Entry‑Level Foreclosure Specialists, supporting their professional development and ensuring team efficiency.
  • Special Projects: participate in and/or lead special projects related to foreclosure processes, compliance, or system enhancements.
What You’ll Bring
  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Foreclosure Specialist or two years in a related field.
  • In‑depth knowledge of federal, state, and investor requirements related to foreclosure.
  • Proven ability to manage complex foreclosure cases and resolve escalated issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership skills and a willingness to mentor junior staff.
